This is our handsome son, Easton Murry. He is two years old. His birthday is June 12th 2015. He is also a little brother to his three-year old sister, Eizley. Easton was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) as well as a rare form of Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia (JMML) just a little after his birthday on June 27th 2017. Before Easton was diagnosed, he was always sick. It seemed that he never got rid of his colds. It was one after another. We took him into the emergency room because he was breathing fast and something just seemed weird to us. They thought he had pneumonia, then drew blood and found that his white blood cells were super high and that he had Leukemia. We were then life flighted from the Grande Ronde Hospital to Doernbecher that night. I had to quit my job doing daycare so I could stay with my little man for months at a time. Easton went through three rounds of chemotherapy, each one month long. Then received his new donor bone marrow from a man in Germany on October 12, 2017. Easton is one of the toughest kids I know. He is our superhero ☺. He loves to camp, fish and go for rides in daddy’s jeep. He has a smile that lights up the room and is such a flirt with the nurses. We thank the good lord every day for helping our son get through this and help fight this nasty cancer. We also would like to thank all the support groups and programs like Team Cole for everything they do to help families going through this. It’s greatly appreciated! Easton is currently CANCER FREE and doing great! He has checkups every two weeks, soon to be every month.
