Erik Beltran

Erik is 15 years old. He is currently completing his sophomore year of high school. He's very smart and likes to learn new things and do good in his curricular activities. There are 4 family members in his family including his twin brother, his sister and his mom. Erik's dad has not been part of his life since he was 6 months old. Even though Erik is one of the quieter kids in school, he has a lot of friends and enjoys doing activities with them during school and after school through his running club. He also joined track during his 8th grade year and had a very good long distance record. Erik has always been a very healthy kid, but his life changed drastically earlier this year. Erik was diagnosed with Leukemia in February of 2020. Since then life has been very difficult for his whole family. Not just emotionally but also financially struggling since there was only one income in the family. Now his mom hasn't been able to work to provide food and shelter for the family. Erik has been a fighter and he has stayed strong throughout this whole process. He is determined to survive.
