Robert Snow is a 17 year old who lives in Klamath Falls with Very High Risk Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Robert went to the ER after several weeks of unexplained groin pain. After imaging and lab work he was flown to OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital for further assessment. He was diagnosed with ALL on 09/11/18. After starting his induction phase of chemotherapy, Robert suffered from tumor lysis syndrome, and needed to be transferred to the PICU to be placed on dialysis. He recovered and stayed inpatient at Doernbecher for 26 days. During this time he also developed adrenal insufficiency and required insulin for elevated blood sugars.

Robert was finally able to return to Klamath Falls after completing his first phase of treatment. He has since traveled to Portland and Medford for chemotherapy. He will remain in active treatment until he reaches his currently scheduled end of treatment date, 01/11/2022.

Robert is a member of the Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake (HPUL) tribe from Upper Lake, Ca. He is a junior at Henley High School. He will likely graduate late due to hospitalizations from chemotherapy and illnesses. He enjoys the outdoors, and loves hunting, fishing, and camping. He is an animal lover and insect buff. He hopes to pursue a career in forestry after graduation.
